Asilah is another quiet beach side town a few hours north of Rabat on the Atlantic. The town has one of the most beautiful medinas that is open, airy, and organized which is quite unusual for a Moroccan medina. The remaining pictures are of a morning walk through the ancient ruins of Lixus, a roman colony going back (add date here). About 25% of the site has been excavated but is still impressive. As in most place in Morocco outside of the large cities we are the only foreigners in sight.
