Date:
October 1998
Purpose: Stanford University Product Design Project.
Description:
This lamp was designed to compliment home theater environments that
would provide a soothing ambient light that could be kept on while enjoying
the "lights off" experience.
The materials utilize an aluminum base, translucent plastic sides, and
an aluminum mesh covers. Additionally, the lamp components are designed
to slot together allowing for easy manufacturing and variations in the
panel colors.
While the original lamp is currently sitting in my storage unit in San
Francisco, I used the design for my first attempt using Solid Works. I
still need to add in a few features like the control switch, side screws,
and lamp assembly and will update more pictures as I master the program
further.
